Take the Oxford Test of English at Kids&Us Stockel

Kids&Us Stockel (Woluwé-Saint-Pierre, Brussels) is an officially recognised and certified test centre for the Oxford Test of English (OTE)! We are excited to offer this opportunity to our students who may be interested in obtaining an official English certification. 

What is the Oxford Test of English (OTE)? 

The Oxford Test of English is a 100% digital proficiency exam, accredited by the University of Oxford. Test takers receive an official certificate from the University, detailing their English level. For test-takers from 12 to 16 years old and 16 years old and up, Kids&Us Stockel will be offering the Oxford Test of English for Schools. 

• Modules: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking 
• Scoring: Each module is graded individually, with an overall score out of 140 points. 
• CEFR Levels: 
  • 51 points and above: A2, B1, or B2 level (depending on the score) 
  • 0–50 points: Indicative CEFR result of “Below A2”  

While the OTE is a newer test compared to other international English exams, it offers greater flexibility, is more affordable, and is gaining global recognition among educational institutions and employers: Please see this link for more information.  ​

Session options 

Various sessions will be organised throughout the upcoming months based on demand. 

• Location: Kids&Us Stockel T&T, at 7A Val des Seigneurs, 1150 Woluwe-Saint-Pierre 
• ​Dates: Saturday 28, March, Saturday, 11 April, Saturday, 25 April
• ​Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on student needs 

Who can take the test? 

The OTE for Schools is meant for students aged 12 to 16 and 16 and up, provided they are comfortable using a computer. While no formal preparation is required, students may feel more confident after familiarising themselves with the test format. You can find free demo tests here: link (see section “Sample tests”). ​
